WebI think it's because if you are overseas or on a boat for months at a time, it may be difficult to refill daily prescriptions. It's hard to get insurance approval for more than 3 months at a time. I had considered joining the military when I was younger but having hypothyroidism and Celiac Disease made it impossible. I'm glad I didn't though.
